F/8 is still focused on the first box, the middle box is less blurry and a little more focused than it was on F/1.8, and the box in the back is blurry nut not as much as it was in F/1.8. F/16 is focusing on the 3 boxes, there's no more blur in the background as it was in F/1.8 and F/8. F/8 and F/16 have a slight difference when you pay more attention to it but at first, when you have a first glance you can't tell the difference.
